About us

Matuchansky, Poupot, Valdelièvre, Rameix is a law firm (registered in France as a Société à Responsabilité Limitée, or SARL) which has been granted the official status of Council Lawyers with authority to represent clients before the Council of State and the Court of Cassation.

The firm was founded by Charles-Louis Vier and Jean Barthélemy, who were shortly joined by Olivier Matuchansky, after which Loïc Poupot, Guillaume Valdelièvre and Claire Rameix-Séguin were made Partners.

Olivier Matuchansky, Loïc Poupot, Guillaume Valdelièvre and Claire Rameix-Séguin are all Council Lawyers and are supported by a multi-disciplinary team.

The firm represents and defends its clients, who may be companies, authorities or individuals, before both the French Council of State and Court of Cassation.

Its lawyers regularly appear before the administrative courts, as well as the Constitutional Council, Jurisdictional Disputes Tribunal, the European Court of Human Rights, the Court of Justice of the European Union and other specialist jurisdictions such as the Court of Audit and the disciplinary courts for certain regulated professions.

When asked to handle an appeal, the firm will always first issue an opinion on the chances of success. After an in depth study of each case and the applicable law, it will advise its clients whether to continue or abandon the appeal.

The firm also provides detailed reports on cases that may be referred to it independently of any court proceedings.
